This roundie was co-designed by WVN Living and Nekid Swim, and was woven by a handloom weaver in La Union, Philippines. It uses a light inabel fabric and comes with a pompom trimming. Used as a cover-up, a picnic or beach mat, or even a table mantle.
To make a large fabric in La Union, two weavers sit side by side on a floor loom, throwing and catching the shuttle (a tool that holds thread for the warp) to create the fabric. The wooden pedals they use vary depending on the inabel design. For this particular design, wasig, they use a 2-pedal loom.
